More writing on the wall

I have no use for Jane Harman, the conservative California Democrat who cares more about the Israel lobby than children, working people and students, but this story just fuels my inner tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy suspicions that the Bushies were using the Patriot Act to monitor and bully their domestic opponents.
I can't shake the notion that we are going to learn in the coming months and years that the political operation in Bush's White House was wiretapping every Democrat in D.C.

Supposedly, Harman was not the target of the the wire tap; the Israeli lobbyist was. Which is not meant to dissuade your tin-foil hat-wearing tendencies. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. If your assertion proves to be correct, and I tend to agree with you, the great irony is that Harman got bagged by a wiretap with an actual warrant even as she was providing cover for those who thought 9/11 rendered the fourth amendment quaint. To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, this thing with Harman is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy

It sucks because I don't think the major news outlets will probe this much at all...and that has nothing to do with the big media conspiracy or whatever. No one wants to be compared to Alex Jones, who I think might actually believe the crap he shovels.
